National Guard shooting suspect worked with US in Afghanistan

US Officials say the Afghan national suspected of shooting two National Guardsmen near the White House on Wednesday - worked with the CIA in Afghanistan. He has been identified as 29-year old Rahmanullah Lakanwal. Net Migration To The UK Drops Sharply

Net migration figures for the UK have fallen to their lowest annual total since 2021


Provisional data from the Office of National Statistics estimates the total number of people who have moved to the UK minus the total number who have left, has dropped 69% year on year from 649,000 in the year to June 2024 to 204,000 in the 12 months to June 2025. 


This decline, an almost 80% drop from a peak high in 2023, is in part caused by fewer non-EU nationals arriving to work or study in the UK, and a gradual increase in levels of emigration.

Judge drops Trump’s historic election interference racketeering case
