Hong Kong activists granted asylum in Germany
Germany has confirmed that it granted asylum last year to two activists who fled the city of Hong Kong who faced rioting charges at home.
It is the first known case of of a foreign country giving refugee status to pro-democracy campaigners in the Chinese city.

The European Parliamentary Elections are now underway.
Voting begins Thursday in the UK and the Netherlands, followed by on Friday by Ireland and the Czech Republic
