Justice Department charges Pelosi attacker

Federal prosecutors have charged the man accused of attacking the husband of US Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi with a hammer at the couple's San Francisco home.


The attack sent Paul Pelosi to the hospital with a fractured skull although he expected to recover.

Water and power in short supply in Kyiv after latest Russian attacks

Calls for UK Home Secretary to resign over data breaches and migrant detention centres

Eurozone inflation hits fresh record high

Eurozone inflation reached a record 10.7% in October according to flash estimates from the European Union's statistics agency.


That's up from 9.9% in September, which was already an all-time high.

First coins for general circulation with King Charles' portrait now in production


In the UK, the first coins for general circulation with a depiction of King Charles the Third are now rolling off the production lines.

The 50 pence coin is being struck at the Royal Mint in Wales and people in the UK will start using them in December.

Report: Musk completes Twitter purchase, fires top executives
