Russia's foreign minister Sergei Lavrov has accused the United States

Biden asks Congress for $33B in new aid for Ukraine

Austin: no time to waste in helping Ukraine; talk of nuclear war is reckless

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has said that the US and its allies must move "at the speed of war" in their efforts to help Ukraine defend itself against the Russian invasion.


Speaking at a meeting of military leaders from more that 40 NATO and non-NATO countries in Germany, he said Russian speculation on the use of nuclear weapons was reckless and unhelpful.

Biden issues first pardons of his presidency for people with nonviolent drug crimes


The U.S. President Joe Biden is pardoning three people, and reducing the sentence of 75 others who were convicted of nonviolent drug crimes.

It's the first time he has issued pardons during his presidency, as part of action on crime and racial justice.
