Bodies pulled from river after Washington mid-air collision, amid fears death toll will rise

At least 30 bodies are reported to have been pulled from the icy waters of Washington's Potomac  [PRON:  POH-TOE-MAC] River after a military helicopter and a passenger jet collided in mid-air on Wednesday night.

A naval vessel carrying 49 migrants has arrived at Italy's controversial processing centres in Albania.

The facilities have been empty since November last year due to legal challenges, with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni pushing hard to revive her signature migration policy.

REPORT: Netanyahu set to meet Trump in Washington

Reports are circulating that Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is set to travel to the United States next week to meet with US President Donald Trump.

According to Netanyahu's office, there's been no invitation extended yet, but if he does travel during this timeframe, it would make him the first foreign leader to meet Trump at the White House after his inauguration.

French president responds to 'dire' Louvre Museum's call for help

On Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the Louvre in Paris, after the museum's director called for government help to address a multitude of issues.

According to the authorities at the world's biggest museum, there are leaks, it's over-crowded, and its exhibition halls are ageing.

Prostate Cancer Becomes Most Common In England

Prostate cancer has become the most common form of the disease in England, with a 25 percent increase in cases in the past 5 years.


It's thought the rise might be down to awareness campaigns and the publicity generated by Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy talking openly after he received a terminal diagnosis.


Amy Rylance is from the charity Prostate Cancer UK, and says more work is needed to educate people about the disease.

US opens probe into sudden movement on United Airlines flight from Nigeria

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board says it is investigating an incident that occurred during a United Airlines flight from Lagos, Nigeria, to Washington D.C on Friday.


The NTSB said the incident on United Flight 613 happened as the Boeing 787 was flying in Ivory Coast airspace.
