The EU representative criticizes Pakistani authorities for trying civilians in military courts

The EU's special envoy has criticized Pakistan's government for allowing civilians to be tried by military tribunals.

Civilians accused of participating in the violent riots that followed the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan in 2023 are currently being tried by the Pakistani military.
