Sam Bankman-Fried testifies in crypto fraud trial

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has testified in his criminal fraud trial.


The 31-year-old former billionaire is on trial in New York, accused of stealing billions of dollars of customers' money.


He has pleaded not guilty to seven counts, including wire fraud, securities fraud and money laundering.


Closing statements are scheduled for Wednesday, before the jury begins its deliberations.

King Charles Asked To Apologise By Kenyan Human Rights Commission

Maine shooter's relatives and army unit warned Sheriff's office about threat


The family of the man who carried out this year's worst mass shooting in the U.S. had warned police five months ago about a decline in his mental health. But he still had access to guns, and shot and killed 18 people at a bar and bowling alley last week in Maine.

Heavy fighting in Gaza between Israeli troops and Hamas

The Israeli military says it is involved in "large exchanges" with
Hamas in Gaza, as it tries to push further into the enclave.

Israel says its forces have repelled militants who were firing
anti-tank missiles.

It comes after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it was "a time

Pressure grows on Biden to call for Gaza ceasefire

Israel is rejecting calls for a ceasefire, as its military assault on the Gaza Strip continues.


The Israeli Defense Forces say they encountered machine gun fire and anti-tank missiles over the last few hours.


Meanwhile, Egypt is rejecting calls for refugees seeking to flee Gaza to be resettled in the Sinai Peninsula, which Cairo controls.

French inflation cools in October, growth also slows

TANZANIANS HELD HOSTAGE BY HAMAS

The Israeli government has confirmed the identities of two Tanzanians believed to be held hostage by the Hamas group since the 7 October attack across the border from Gaza.
