Captain Pleads with Navy to Save His Crew

The captain of a US aircraft carrier is pleading with the Navy for resources to isolate his crew. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, more than 100 sailors on board are infected with the coronavirus.

India enters the second day of its lockdown. It is the world's largest shutdown taking place to contain the coronavirus.

The number of confirmed cases has exceeded 600 and 12 deaths have been reported.

The biggest criticism for India is that there aren't enough doctors, testing kits and other medical supplies.

UN launches $2bn global humanitarian response to COVID-19

The United Nations has launched a global humanitarian response to
fight COVID-19 in the world's poorest countries.

More than $2 billion will be spent to help people in South America,
Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

UGANDA STOPS RECEIVING REFUGEES AMID CORONAVIRUS FEARS

Uganda has stopped receiving new refugees with immediate effect.  The country's Ministry of Disaster Preparedness says the measure follows a presidential directive to close all border points and stop the entry and exit of all persons to and from Uganda. Leon Ssenyange reports.
