Former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced he is standing to be the Democratic Party presidential nominee.

INVENTOR OF INTERNET LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TO IMPROVE THE WEB

The inventor of the World Wide Web, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, has created a 'Contract for the Web', to try and avoid what he calls a 'digital dystopia'.

Fears over online harassment, the spread of disinformation, invasions of privacy, and election interference spurred the computer scientist to take action.

BRITISH LORRY DRIVER ADMITS PLOT FOLLOWING MIGRANT DEATHS

A British lorry driver accused over the deaths of 39 migrants has pleaded guilty to plotting to assist illegal immigration. 


Maurice Robinson is also charged with manslaughter, people trafficking and money laundering after a group of men, women and children were found dead in a trailer in Essex last month.
