The United Nations has released its annual "emissions gap" report, saying drastic action needs to be taken now to combat climate change, in order to make up for the years spent procrastinating. The report is viewed as the benchmark in assessing the world's progress, as nations attempt to meet their commitments made in the Paris climate accord. But the findings are very bleak.
