A US judge has ruled Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein will face trial.

At a hearing in New York the judge dismissed a motion by Weinstein's
lawyers to drop the sexual assault charges against him.

France says its troops will remain in Syria despite the US withdrawing its forces from the country.
