Trump sends Mattis to the exit early

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced he plans to replace outgoing
Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis two months earlier than planned.

Mattis abruptly quit last week and sources say the President was
angered by the rested four-star general's resignation letter.
