The US Congress has passed a stopgap spending bill to avert a government shutdown.


It gives President Biden enough time to sign into law before funding for the government lapses at midnight on Thursday.

Amid Democrat disarray on Capitol Hill, White House insists Biden remains hopeful on domestic spending agenda

Former Met Police officer sentenced for kidnap, rape and murder of Sarah Everard

Facebook hits the breaks on ‘Instagram Kids’

Facebook said Monday that it was pausing work on Instagram Kids, the highly controversial project meant for children aged 10 to 12 years old.

The pause comes after a Wall Street Journal report revealed that Facebook's own research found the Instagram app to be toxic for teenagers.
