Turkey's President Recyip Erdogan is meeting Russia's President Vladimir Putin in Sochi — the first time an in-person meeting has taken place between the two leaders since the beginning of the pandemic.
The presidents are expected to discuss Turkey's purchase of a Russian-made anti-aircraft missile system.
But in doing so President Erdogan risks the wrath of the US, which could trigger new sanctions against Turkey.
