Tanzania's incumbent President John Pombe Magufuli has emerged victorious in the country's presidential race.This was revealed by the National Electoral Commission chairperson has announced that he now begins the second 5 year term. 

 

This comes as the main  opposition candidate Tundu Lissu rejected early results of Tanzania's presidential and parliamentary election, saying the vote was illegitimate due to fraud.

London Heathrow no longer Europe's busiest airport

Paris's Charles de Gaulle has overtaken Heathrow as Europe's busiest airport, following a collapse in passenger numbers at the UK's hub. 


London Heathrow saw almost 19 million passengers in the first nine months of the year, short of the 19.3 million who passed through the French capital.

MIGRANT TRAGEDY "WAKE-UP CALL" FOR LEADERS

The deaths of two children and two adults in a migrant boat tragedy in the Channel should serve as a "wake up call" to UK and French leaders according to charity bosses. 


The boat sank off the coast of Dunkirk on Tuesday.
