Bodies pulled from river after Washington mid-air collision, amid fears death toll will rise

At least 30 bodies are reported to have been pulled from the icy waters of Washington's Potomac  [PRON:  POH-TOE-MAC] River after a military helicopter and a passenger jet collided in mid-air on Wednesday night.


It is feared the death toll could rise above 60.


The investigation into the accident is already focusing on the possibility of an error by the military pilot in the helicopter who was on a training exercise.
