Putin vows to retaliate against US sanctions

The Russian President said that Moscow would have to retaliate if Washington goes ahead with new sanctions against Russia.  

However, Vladimir Putin said his response would depend on the final text of the proposed law.

New White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci has indicated that U.S. President Donald Trump may veto the bipartisan sanctions bill against Iran, North Korea and Russia.

No modifications to US military LGBTQ policy - Joint Chiefs

In a message from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, currently there will be no modifications to the U.S. military's policies on transgender soldiers, sailors and airmen.

Ruling in Charlie Gard Case : Terminally ill baby to be sent to a hospice



The UK's High Court has ruled that terminally ill baby Charlie Gard is to be moved to a hospital and taken off life support soon after.


It comes after the child's parents ended their legal battle with Great Ormond Street Hospital to have Charlie taken abroad for treatment

Deadline on Charlie Gard end-of-life care passed

The deadline on reaching an agreement on how to care for terminally ill baby Charlie Gard at the end of his life has passed.


In London's High Court on Wednesday, Justice Francis ruled that if the parents and Great Ormond Street Hospital were unable to reach an agreement, the child would be taken to a hospice and have his life support removed shortly after.

Indian NSA in China for talks

Amid rising tensions between India and China over a border dispute, India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is in Beijing for a two day official visit. 

Ajit Doval will be a part of the BRICS NSA meeting. Both sides have not ruled out a one-on-one interaction between the Indian NSA and his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi. 

India and China have both urged the other to withdraw troops from the Doklam region. China and Bhutan both claim the area as its own. India maintains it stopped China from constructing a border road there at the behest of its ally Bhutan.

Grenfell Tower Update


The Grenfell Tower block in London, in which it's believed at least 80 people died in a fire, will be covered to help with the forensic investigation.
