No modifications to US military LGBTQ policy - Joint Chiefs

In a message from the Joint Chiefs of Staff, currently there will be no modifications to the U.S. military's policies on transgender soldiers, sailors and airmen.

U.S. President Donald Trump claimed in a tweet these Americans were banned from serving because they are a threat to readiness and unit cohesion.

The president's tweet about transgender soldiers was reportedly inspired by a budget battle over an amendment in a House spending bill.

Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan is looking for further information.
