Cyber Experts Warn Bash Bug Could Affect Hundreds of Millions of Devices

Cyber experts are issuing new warnings about a security flaw that could potentially affect hundreds of millions of computers, servers and other devices.

Known as the 'Bash' bug or “Shellshock”, the flaw could be more affective than “Heartbleed' which put every computer user at risk earlier this year.

One industry standard for assessing security flaws – the Common Vulnerability Scoring System – has rated the bug a maximum 10 out of 10 for its impact and ease of exploitability.

Silicon Valley correspondent Rachel Silverman has the story.
