U.S. military officials believe they have successfully destroyed mobile oil refineries used by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in the latest round of airstrikes against positions inside Syria.
Its estimated the Islamic militants make as much as $2 million per day on petroleum products refined at these locations.
U.S. Pentagon spokesman Rear Admiral John Kirby confirmed the airstrikes around Deir Ezzor.
