Iranian President Rouhani speaks at U.N., blames rise of extremism on Western policy

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani gave a wide-ranging speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, warning of the dangers of extremism and expressing hope that a nuclear deal could be struck soon between his country and the West.

Rouhani denounced militants claiming to fight in the name of Islam and lambasted the Western media for repeating such claims:
