Former New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns has been charged in London with perjury.
The charge relates to the 2012 libel trial in london in which mr cairns won damages from lalit modi, the former indian premier league boss, over match-fixing allegations.
A conviction for perjury can carry a lengthy prison sentence in the UK.
