Indian opposition parties move no-confidence motion against Modi government

Opposition parties, led by the Indian national congress have moved a no-confidence motion against the Narendra Modi led BJP government. 

They're demanding that the Prime Minister make a speech in parliament on the ongoing conflict in the north-eastern state of Manipur. 

Parliament proceedings have been continuously disrupted since last week over the opposition parties demand, which has so far been rejected by the government.

Russian defence minister in North Korea as official visits resume after covid

Russia’s defence minister and a senior Chinese communist are the first official visitors to North Korea in public since covid started. 

Pyongyang closed its borders early in 2020.

They’ve arrived to help mark Victory Day on Thursday – the seventieth anniversary of the end of fighting in the Korean War of the nineteen-fifties.

Anger as South Korea's top court rejects removing minister over deadly Halloween crush

Joe Biden establishes monument for murdered black teenager

US President Joe Biden has signed a proclamation creating a National Monument for Emmett Till and his mother on what would have been his 82nd birthday. 


Emmett Till was black teenager who was lynched in 1955 — his death and the activist of his mother Mamie Till-Mobley helped galvanise the civil rights movement in America.

Tentative deal reached to avert postal worker strike

Unilever Announces Sales Profits Due To Increased Prices

India to to push back over 700 refugees from Myanmar

India's state of Manipur has ordered an immediate pushback of over 700 Myanmar nationals, who came into the country earlier this week.

The government says the foreigners have illegally entered the state without proper travel documents.

Since the military coup in Myanmar, hundreds of refugees have fled into India. The two countries share a mostly porous border in India's north east region.

Parliament impasse continues over Manipur violence

India's Parliament has seen repeated disruptions since the current session began last week, over a viral video that showed two women being assaulted by a mob in the northeastern region of Manipur.

Several protests have been held across India since that video first surfaced last week. Six people have been arrested so far.

DOJ Sues Texas Over Floating Barrier On Border

The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Texas governor Greg Abbott over the massive barrier of floating buoys the state has placed in the Rio Grande [GRAND] river to try and prevent migrants from crossing over the border from Mexico.


Abbot has said he will not comply with the order to remove the buoys, which cover an area of around a thousand feet, or 300 meters.
