US Intelligence Agency Releases 13 Million Pages of Declassified Documents on Website

INTRO:
The US Central Intelligence Agency has released 13 million pages of
declassified information online.

This comes after a freedom-of-information advocacy group sued the
government bureau to release the material, which includes 800,000
files.

UN Chief pledges surge in diplomacy, UN reforms

Russia trying to show strength - Nikki Haley

Russia is trying to show that it's a strong nation, says Nikki Haley, Donald Trump's nominee to be the next U.S. ambassdor to the United Nations.

Many have questioned her nomination, because she has very little experience in foreign policy as the governor of South Carolina.

Iraqi soldiers move to retake western Mosul

Italy convicts former South American leaders


A court in Rome has convicted eight former South American political and military leaders for the death 23 Italian nationals during the 1970's and 80's.


The convicted officials were all part of Operation Condor, which consisted of a group of South American dictatorships that hunted down and killed thousands of left wing dissidents during that era.

Russia says joins forces with Turkey to bomb Islamic State militants

Obama And Obamacare Win High Approval Ratings

Barack Obama will leave office on Friday with an approval rating above average for modern presidents, according to a new poll for the Washington Post newspaper and ABC News.

Surveys also show that Mr. Obama's signature healthcare law, the Affordable Care Act, is at its most popular, just as it is about to be repealed by the new Republican controlled Congress.

Freezing temperatures hit much of Europe

BORIS: COUNTRIES 'QUEUING UP' FOR UK TRADE DEALS

UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson says countries are 'queuing up' to sign trade deals with Britain.

MH370 search called off

The search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight 370 in the Indian Ocean will only be resumed if new credible information pointing to a specific location comes to light.
