A court in Rome has convicted eight former South American political and military leaders for the death 23 Italian nationals during the 1970's and 80's.
The convicted officials were all part of Operation Condor, which consisted of a group of South American dictatorships that hunted down and killed thousands of left wing dissidents during that era.
