NATO activates defense plans in response to Russia attack on Ukraine

NATO General-Secretary Jens Stoltenberg has condemned the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ukraine.


At a press conference, he demanded Russian withdraw its troops and cease its military attack on Ukraine.


He also said that an attack on one is considered an attack on all and announced that the North Atlantic Council has activated its defence plans.

Repatriation flight from New Delhi forced to return as Ukraine closes airspace

In dramatic late-night speech, Zelensky tells Ukrainians to brace for war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin has now approved plans to launch a full-scale invasion of his country.


In a speech to the Ukrainian people, he urged them to brace for an attack, and said he had not been able to reach the Russian leader by phone on Wednesday.


The White House is refusing to comment on whether plans have been made to provide security arrangements for the Ukrainian leader in the event of an invasion.
