India probing work environment at EY following employee's death

India is investigating the work environment at accounting firm EY following the death of a 26-year-old employee which her mother blamed on stress.

This comes as a union has called for a review of working conditions in India's IT and finance sectors.

India calls US court summons for its NSA 'unwarranted'

India has criticised a summons issued by a US district court to its NSA and former head of its foreign intelligence agency.

The summons were issued in connection with allegations that Indian officials were involved in a plot to assassinate an American Sikh separatist leader in the US.

India identified the Sikh leader - Gurpatwant Singh Pannun - as a 'terrorist' in 2020.

The summons were issued by the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. It names the Government of India and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, among others.

It has asked New Delhi to file a reply within 21 days.

Doctors protesting against sexual assault to partially end strike

US accuses Iran of sending stolen Trump campaign info to Biden campaign

Iran sent stolen materiaƂ from Republican former President Donald Trump's campaign to people involved in Democratic President Joe Biden's then re-election campaign, according to US investigators.

Modi in Kashmir after record turnout in first phase of polling

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is campaigning in Indian-administered Kashmir, a day after the region held its first election in a decade.

Two more phases of polling will be held before results are announced in early October.
