China reiterates its one China policy at the United Nations

China says it will continue to safeguard its sovereignty and work
towards its one-China policy.
Han Zheng, China's Vice-President told the UN General Assembly on
Thursday that there is but one China in the world and that Taiwan
remains part of it.
Zheng says no one should ever under-estimate the power of the Chinese
people to safeguard their territorial integrity.

Five People To Be Charged In The UK With Suspected Spying For Russia

Zimbabwe's president defends his re-election

Zimbabwe President, Emmerson Mnangagwa has called on Western countries
to withdraw what he calls, illegal economic sanctions against his
country.
Addressing the United Nations High Level General Assembly in New York
on Thursday, Mnangagwa said the sanctions were designed to subjugate
the sovereign will of Zimbabwe.
The Southern African leader has also defended his re-election as
president - this despite election observers from the regional Southern
African bloc of countries, SADC raising concerns, saying some aspects
of the election did not conform to democratic principles.
