The White House says it is "deeply concerned" about allegations that India was potentially involved in the killing of a Sikh separatist leader in Canada.
It is urging India to cooperate in any investigation into the incident.
This comes as India is reported to have suspended visa services for Canadian citizens amid the diplomatic row between the two countries.
