Zimbabwe's president defends his re-election

Zimbabwe President, Emmerson Mnangagwa has called on Western countries
to withdraw what he calls, illegal economic sanctions against his
country.
Addressing the United Nations High Level General Assembly in New York
on Thursday, Mnangagwa said the sanctions were designed to subjugate
the sovereign will of Zimbabwe.
The Southern African leader has also defended his re-election as
president - this despite election observers from the regional Southern
African bloc of countries, SADC raising concerns, saying some aspects
of the election did not conform to democratic principles.
