South Sudan President Salva Kiir says his country does not have the
resources to deal with the influx of refugees from Sudan.
Speaking at the United Nations on Thursday, Salva Kiir called for
urgent assistance from the UN and world leaders.
More than half of Sudan's population, according to the UN, is in need
of humanitarian assistance, this coupled with a raging conflict
involving the national army and the Rapid Support Forces.
