Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis in car accident

Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis has been involved in a car accident while on the campaign trail.


The Florida Governor had been travelling to an event in the US state of Tennessee.


His team confirmed DeSantis was not injured.

Unilever Announces Sales Profits Due To Increased Prices

Consumer goods giant Unilever has reported a growth in sales profits, beating sales forecasts. 


The announcement has resulted in a surge in the company's shares, jumping 5% and topping the FTSE 100 on Tuesday. 


However, Unilever's strong performance has been almost entirely based on increased prices and has drawn criticism of profiting from the cost of living crisis.

India to to push back over 700 refugees from Myanmar

India's state of Manipur has ordered an immediate pushback of over 700 Myanmar nationals, who came into the country earlier this week.

The government says the foreigners have illegally entered the state without proper travel documents.

Since the military coup in Myanmar, hundreds of refugees have fled into India. The two countries share a mostly porous border in India's north east region.

Parliament impasse continues over Manipur violence

India's Parliament has seen repeated disruptions since the current session began last week, over a viral video that showed two women being assaulted by a mob in the northeastern region of Manipur.

Several protests have been held across India since that video first surfaced last week. Six people have been arrested so far.

Manipur has been embroiled in ethnic unrest for more than two months now and the region is governed by India Prime Minister Narendra Modi's party.

DOJ Sues Texas Over Floating Barrier On Border

The US Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against Texas governor Greg Abbott over the massive barrier of floating buoys the state has placed in the Rio Grande [GRAND] river to try and prevent migrants from crossing over the border from Mexico.


Abbot has said he will not comply with the order to remove the buoys, which cover an area of around a thousand feet, or 300 meters.

Majority of economists see U.S. recession as unlikely

According to a new poll, the majority of economists believe it's
