Bank of England raises interest rates in bid to contain inflation


The Bank of England has raised its key interest rate from 0.25 to 0.5 percent.

Like many countries around the world, the UK's central bank is trying to put the brakes on rising inflation that's pushing up the cost of living.

UK GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES SUPPORT PACKAGE AHEAD OF ENERGY BILL PRICE HIKE

UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak has set out government plans to support households ahead of imminent increases to utility bills. Uganda To Begin Oil Prodution in 2025

Uganda has signed the final investment decision to kick start the country's Oil and gas projects.
