UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak has set out government plans to support households ahead of imminent increases to utility bills. A cap on energy prices is set to be lifted in April - a move that will add an extra $940 to the outgoings of the average home. Mr Sunak told MP's the government will step in to help, offering a council tax rebate to 80% of homeowners and spreading some of the additional costs for gas and electricity over a five year period.
