US FDA: J&J Covid-19 vaccine effective against severe cases

The US Food and Drug Administration says Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19
vaccine is effective at lowering the risk of hospitalization or death.

The FDA could now approve the single-shot dose as early as Saturday,
making it America's third approved vaccine.

Tiger Woods Recovering in Hospital


Golf legend Tiger Woods is recovering in a hospital after a long surgical procedure following a rollover car accident in Los Angeles County.

Biden to sign executive order for review of global supply chains

Uganda Denies Reports that President Museveni Received COVID-19 Vaccine

AstraZeneca says it will meet all EU deliveries in Q2 following shortage reports

AstraZeneca has said it will deliver all 180 million vaccine doses to the European Union in the second quarter of the year. 

The statement came after one EU official was reported to have claimed the company would deliver less than half its targets between April and June.

Ghana receives first batch of vaccines under W.H.O COVAX program

The French government is considering a regional approach to try to tackle what the health minister has called the "stable but high" Covid-19 case numbers.

Amnesty International has revoked Alexey Navalny's "prisoner of conscience" status due to comments he made in the past.

Concerns mount over spike in Covid-19 cases in two Indian states

Concerns are growing about the sharp rise in Covid-19 cases in two states in India, which account for the majority of the country's confirmed active infections.

Out of some 13,700 Covid-19 infections recorded in the past 24 hours, three quarters of these were in the states of Maharashtra and Kerala.
