UGANDA ALLOWS CHINESE INVESTORS TO IMPORT COVID19 VACCINES

The Government of Uganda has approved the importation of the COVID-19 vaccine from China.  The Chinese community of investors at an industrial park in Central Uganda requested for authorization to import and administer 4,000 doses of the Sars-Cov-2 inactivated vaccine.

5 people have died during electoral violence since Ghana went to the polls on Monday. Ghana's electoral process has in the past been generally peaceful. Ethiopia refuses external investigation into massacre

VIOLENCE IN DRC PARLIAMENT

The Democratic Republic of Congo's parliament is set to convene on Thursday to hear petitions about the removal of the speaker from office - as a major political crisis deepens.

Lawmakers allied to DRC President Felix Tshisekedi passed a motion to remove Speaker Jeanine Mabunda on Tuesday sparking clashes that left three people injured. Chris Ocamringa has more from Kinshasa.

2 ALLERGIC REACTIONS IN UK TO PFIZER JAB

Two healthcare workers in Britain had an allergic reaction to the Pfizer-Biontech coronavirus vaccine on the first day of its rollout.

Regulators now say people with a history of severe allergies should not take the jab.

The two patients had mild allergic reactions and both recovered fully.

Dr June Raine from the MHRA regulator says data from the vaccine will be constantly monitored and acted upon as it's rolled out.

UK PM TO BRUSSELS FOR BREXIT DINNER

UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will hold Brexit talks in Brussels later with the President of the European Commission.

It's considered a final chance to move negotiations forward in time to reach a Brexit trade deal by the end of the year, when transition arrangements expire.

Boris Johnson and Ursula von der Leyen will have dinner ahead of an EU leaders' summit on Thursday.

The two sides remain in disagreement over fishing rights, governance, and level playing field commitments.

Indian authorities say that traces of lead and nickel were found in blood samples after hundreds of people were hospitalised and one man died after being affected with an identified illness.

China Orders Mass COVID Testing in Chengdu
