UK SPEAKER OF HOUSE OF COMMONS RUELS OUT BREXIT DEAL VOTE

The UK's Speaker of the House of Commons has ruled that Prime Minister Boris Johnson cannot bring his Brexit deal for a meaningful 'yes or no' vote on Monday, as it would equate to brining back the same motion twice - which is not allowed under UK law.

On Saturday, parliament sat to vote on the Brexit deal, but the vote was pulled after an amendment was tabled to withhold approval of the deal until all legislation was passed first.

Africa Failing To Honors Its Human Rights’ Bodies

INTRO:

A new report by Amnesty International says African governments do not fully value the human rights' institutions they have established over time.

The African Union has three bodies concerned with human rights: the  African Commission, the African Child Rights Committee, and the African Court.

These organisations say a lack of commitment from governments is making them ineffective.
