UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been forced to ask the EU for an extension to the Brexit deadline, following a vote in parliament in favour of an amendment to his deal.
The so-called Letwin amendment is an insurance policy, where MPs will withhold support for the Prime Minister's deal until Brexit legislation is delayed.
The Prime Minister insists he will introduce this legislation in the British Parliament next week.
