Negotiators Stay Shtum Following Shanghai Trade Talks


The latest trade talks between the US and China have concluded with no word on whether there's been any progress.

Both sides had played down expectations for any breakthrough in Shanghai in what were the first in-person negotiations since a G20 truce last month.

Indian coffee tycoon's body found

Thirty six hours after he went missing, the body of the founder of India's largest coffee chain has been fished out of a river in Southern India. 

The Cafe Coffee Day franchise has over 1,700 cafes across the country and outlets in countries like Malaysia, Nepal and Egypt.

NUMBER OF SETTLEMENTS AFFECTED BY FLOODS IN RUSSIA GROWS

The number of places affected by flooding in Russia's far east has grown following heavy rains.

India criminalises Muslim 'instant' divorce

India's Parliament has adopted a bill that bans the Muslim practice of instant divorce, or triple talaq. The Arabic word "talaq", when expressed three times, allows Muslim men to obtain irrevocable separation from their partner.

Progressives under fire in democratic debate [CLIPS]

Democrats vying to challenge U.S. President Donald Trump in the 2020
election have faced off in the first of two nights of televised
debates.

Immigration and healthcare policy dominated much of proceedings as the

North Korea fire projectiles off east coast

South Korean military officials say North Korea has fired a number of
unidentified projectiles off its east coast.

This comes less than a week after Pyongyang fired two short-range
ballistic missiles.

South Korea says it's maintaining a readiness posture and is
monitoring the situation.

The Trump administration didn't immediately comment but hopes have
been growing in Washington that stalled denuclearization negotiations

California Election Law Requires Trump to Submit Tax Returns

UN: More Afghans killed by allies than militants

The United Nations says almost 4,000 civilians were killed or wounded
in Afghanistan in the first half of 2019, mostly by pro-government

BORIS JOHNSON VISITS WALES AFTER 'UNREST' WARNING

Trump war of words with African American congressman continues

U.S. President Donald Trump has taken to Twitter to attack prominent
African American activist Reverend Al Sharpton.

Sharpton drew the President's ire after announcing he was traveling to
Baltimore to address recent comments made by Trump about the city.

President Trump has faced accusations of racism from Democrats after
calling congressman Elijah Cummings district in the Maryland city
rodent-infested.
