US President Trump to APEC summit: US won't be "taken advantage of anymore"


US President Donald Trump told APEC member nations that he won't let the United States "be taken advantage of anymore."

President Trump is attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation group summit in Vietnam as part of his five-nation Asian tour.

India to give proxy voting rights to non-resident nationals

The Indian government has told the country's top court that it is willing to give proxy voting rights to over 25 million non-resident Indians.

A plea to this effect has been pending India's Supreme Court for over three years now.

Barricades at Australian Border Force facility in Melbourne

Protesters barricading the entrance of the Australian Border Force headquarters in Melbourne say they will stay "as long as it takes".

Putin says doping allegations against Russia meant to stir discontent

Global gold demand dragged to eight year low as India sales decrease

Global demand for gold declined to an eight year low in the third quarter, dragged lower by weak sales in India, one of the world's largest consumers of gold, according to a new report.

Senate candidate accused of abusing 14-year-old girl

Roy Moore, the Republican candidate to run for the U.S. Senate from Alabama, had an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old girl when he was 32, the Washington Post reports.

He rejects the allegations and his name will remain on the ballot for the December 12 special election.

Turkish PM presses US VP on Gulen extradition during talks in Washington

Trust me, tax reform will be passed - Speaker Ryan

The Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives  Paul Ryan is confident the massive tax reform package will pass both chambers of the U.S. Congress.

Under the U.S. Constitution, all tax and spending legislation must originate in the lower chamber, but now, the U.S. Senate is offering its own variation on the bill, with significant differences.
