Global gold demand dragged to eight year low as India sales decrease

Global demand for gold declined to an eight year low in the third quarter, dragged lower by weak sales in India, one of the world's largest consumers of gold, according to a new report.

The implementation of a new goods and services tax in India is cited a major factor in the decline.
