UK LABOUR AND CONSERVATIVES DEAL WITH MISCONDUCT CLAIMS

The UK's two main political parties are both now in the grip of a sexual harrassment and misconduct scandal at the country's parliament.

Sir Michael Fallon, who stepped down as Defence Secretary this week, is denying newspaper reports he made lewd comments to a cabinet colleague.

Meanwhile, the Labour Party has suspended MP Kelvin Hopkins over claims he sexually harrassed a party activist.

There are a number of other allegations about British MPs swirling around Westminster.

Financial Times contributor Stefan Stern says the Labour Party needs to tackle the issue head-on.
