Lavrov says no secrets conveyed by Trump during controversial meeting


Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said he saw no secret in President Trump's ISIL threat disclosures made during their Oval Office meeting last week. Media uproar following reports about their controversial meeting has prompted some US lawmakers to call for the President's impeachment. Trump, under investigation of his team's links to Russia, brushed off allegations as "greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history". 1 Killed, 22 Injured As Car Ploughs Into Crowd In Times Square

One woman has been killed and 22 injured after a car ploughed into a pavement full of pedestrians in New York City's Times Square.

The 26 year old driver, who has been named as Richard Rojas, is now in custody. Authorities say he is a US navy veteran with two previous arrests for drunk driving.

The FBI is investigating the incident but officials say there is so far no link to terrorism.

UN Says More Iraqis Could Flee Mosul

The United Nations has said up to 200,000 more people could flee the city of Mosul, as Iraqi troops push into the last districts held by Islamic State militants.

New York Mayor de Blasio: Times Square driver in custody after several injured and 1 killed

Driver ploughs into pedestrians in Times Sq; one dead, 22 injured

One person is dead and 22 [as of 1400 ET] others injured in Manhattan after a vehicle ploughed through crowds of pedestrians at Times Square.

Law enforcement authorities say the driver is a 26 year old man with a history of driving while intoxicated, and that early signs do not point to terrorism.

US Speaker of House backs special counsel appointment on Trump-Russia associate links


US Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is backing the deputy attorney general's decision to appoint a special counsel to look into links between Donald Trump's associates and Russia.

On Wednesday...deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein announced that former FBI Director Robert Mueller will take over the investigation.

India wins stay on its citizens execution at top UN court

The International Court of Justice said Pakistani cannot execute an Indian national in its custody till the court concludes a hearing on the issue.

India moved the UN court on the grounds that Pakistan falsely convicted and sentenced Kulbhushan Jadhav to death.

India has called the verdict a vindication of its stand while Pakistan maintains that this is just temporary relief for India.

Former Fox News CEO and chairman Roger Ailes dies
