US Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is backing the deputy attorney general's decision to appoint a special counsel to look into links between Donald Trump's associates and Russia.
On Wednesday...deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein announced that former FBI Director Robert Mueller will take over the investigation.
US President Donald Trump labelled the move "the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history" on Twitter...but Ryan told reporters he supports it:
