The man credited with transforming conservative U.S. cable network Fox News into a major player on the American media scene, Roger Ailes, has died, aged 77.
His tenure ended last year when he was dismissed over a slew of sexual harrassment claims, which plunged the network into a crisis it is still battling to recover from.
