Trump set to sign executive order targeting visa program

President Donald Trump is set to sign an executive order on Tuesday
that aims to overhaul a temporary visa program.

Trump is calling for a major review of the H1-B visa program that is
designed to bring skilled workers to the U.S to fill highly
specialized jobs.

President Trump says he won't "telegraph" his moves on North Korea, but he's accused the country's Communist leader Kim Jong Un of "outplaying" successive American governments.


The North Koreans on Monday accused the US President of "gangster" tactics in his quest to derail Pyongyang's nuclear program.

After poll criticism, Turkish President slams Europe for "crusader mentality"

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused Europe of having a "crusader mentality" after European monitors faulted the fairness of the country's weekend referendum.


The Turkish Prime Minister has approved a three-month extension to the country's state of emergency after President Erdogan won sweeping new powers in the poll.


But Cezar Florin Preda, who led the European monitoring mission, says the vote did not live up to international standards.

Arkansas Supreme Court blocks first two executions in state's killing spree

The Supreme Court in the American state of Arkansas has granted an eleventh hour reprieve to two death row inmates among seven the state hopes to execute over the next 10 days.

No state in the modern has ever attempted to execute so many inmates over such a short time-frame.

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer on Monday refused to draw a red line on North Korean weapons testing.

He was speaking just hours after US Vice President Mike Pence said Washington was finished with its strategic patience policy towards North Korea, during a trip to the Demilitarized Zone on the Korean Peninsula.

On Sunday, a missile test by Pyongyang failed seconds after its launch.

Speaking to reporters in the White House briefing room, White House press secretary Sean Spicer wouldn't be drawn on potential US action going forward:

United Airlines change seat-policy amid PR disaster


United Airlines says it is ending a policy which allowed crew members to take the seats of passengers already on the plane.

The US Marshal leading the search for an Ohio man accused of commiting murder live on Facebook says he's optimistic about finding him soon.

Turkish opposition parties demand inquiry into referendum result

Opposition parties in Turkey are calling for the results of a referendum on the country's constitution to be re-evaluated.

But Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan says he has won sweeping new powers that weaken the role of Parliament, and set the stage for the country to reintroduce the death penalty.

Correspondent Dorian Jones in Istanbul says the President scored 51.4% in the referendum which is a very narrow victory that the country's opposition parties are challenging.
