Trump Admin Withdraws Protection for Transgender Students
The Trump administration has withdrawn protections for transgender students that allowed them to use bathrooms of their gender identity.
Civil rights groups say they consider this an attack on transgender children that denies them equal rights.

Handful of Protesters Arrested Protesting Dakota Access Oil Pipeline
Authorities have arrested a small group of activists protesting the Dakota Access Oil Pipeline after a deadline to leave the area. About 100 people voluntarily left the camp before the deadline.
As US Correspondent Rachel Silverman reports, at the peak of protests, the camp's population climbed to as many as 10 thousand people.

The US Supreme Court has blocked the execution of a Texas man because of racially discriminatory testimony.

Britain's most senior police officer to be a woman
Britain's most senior police officer is to be a woman for the first time in its 188 year history.
Cressida Dick, a former Acting Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police is taking over as the head of Scotland Yard for a five year term.
Her appointment is not without controversy. Ms Dick was in charge of a flawed police operation that saw the shooting dead of a young Brazilian man mistaken for a suicide bomber after London's 2005 terror attacks.
Ms Dick, who takes charge at a time when Britain's terror threat level stands at severe, meaning an attack is highly likely, said she was thrilled and humbled by the appointment.
