Venezuela's Vice President Tareck El Aissami has taken out a full page advertisement in the New York Times to respond to accusations by the US Department of Treasury that he is a drug kingpin. The US imposed economic sanctions on El Aissami last week.
As Latin American Juan Carlos Lamas reports, the Vice President is the highest ranking Venezuelan official to be sanctioned by the US.
