Trump administration to lift transgender bathroom guidance

The Trump administration is planning to revoke federal guidelines telling public schools to let transgender students use bathrooms matching their chosen gender identity.

It would reverse President Obama's directive requiring public schools to grant access even if the student's chosen gender identity isn't the same as what's in their student record.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer said the issue should not be decided by the national government.
