FRANCE: 150 RUSSIANS 'BEHIND' MUCH OF MARSEILLE TROUBLE

French prosecutors say around 150 Russian hooligans were to blame for much of the violence seen in Marseille as Euro 2016 got underway.

The arrests in the capital Kampala follows intelligence that groups of people were planning attacks at police stations.

Ugandan police say the group is an organized criminal gang that includes both civilians and soldiers.

Uganda's air force commander is the most senior army officer among soldiers in detention.

Police say the arrested men are helping with investigations for their alleged role in subversive activities.

And dozens more are being hunted down following an attack at a police station in Northern Uganda on Sunday night .
Police have recovered assault riffles and a machine gun.

One government soldier was killed and 4 injured in that attack.

Three of the attackers surrendered while the rest escaped.
